Less Plastic
Since 2013, we have consistently worked to reduce the amount of plastic purchased, used, and introduced to the market. Key initiatives include reducing the grammage of packaging film, introduction of bagless pallets, optimizing the use of stretch film for pallet protection and introducing packaging with a 30% recycled content.
Certified Cellulose
100% of our cellulose comes from certified and responsibly managed sources, as confirmed by annual audits from renowned certification bodies.
Collaboration with Suppliers
Before entering into partnerships, our partners must sign a code of conduct. Raw material suppliers undergo a periodic assessment process. We mostly cooperate with local companies. This approach allows us to shorten supply chains, reduce the carbon footprint in transport and strengthen the local economy.
Reduced Water Consumption
Approximately 90% of the water used by our advanced paper machines in tissue production is circulated in closed loops. This significantly reduces the consumption of fresh water in production processes.
Environmental Efficiency
Optimizing operational processes and raw material use is our daily practice. We achieved the most significant goals in this area in the first years of the company's operation (for example, switching from coal- to gas-fired boilers in 2018 contributed to a reduction in carbon footprint by approximately 50%, and the construction of the first modern paper machine - MP7 - contributed to a reduction in water consumption per ton in the production process by over 40%). These results serve as a starting point for further initiatives and motivate us to continue our improvements.
Advanced Machine Park
Our production infrastructure, significantly expanded since Velvet CARE's inception, meets high environmental standards. As a Group, we currently utilize 4 production machines and 25 processing lines, allowing us to increase efficiency and production quality and achieve sustainable and responsible production.
