Velvet CARE is confirming its aspirations for rapid growth – on 29 May 2026, we opened a fully automated high-bay warehouse in Klucze, one of the largest facilities of its kind in Poland. Its capabilities were showcased during a meeting between the Management Board and local authorities and business partners.
This ultra-modern, fully automated high-bay warehouse, with a capacity of 42,612 pallet spaces, is 33 metres high and has 12 storage levels, whilst the reduced oxygen level technology (inertisation) further enhances fire safety.
The new warehouse marks a breakthrough in logistics at the Klucze site. Thanks to automation and the use of stacker cranes and a pallet transport system, the facility can operate 24/7. A key feature is inertisation – a fire protection system based on reducing the oxygen concentration to a level that prevents ignition and the spread of fire.
This is another significant investment at the Klucze plant – following the launch in December of the new MP9 paper machine, which increased the plant’s production capacity by over 40% to 210,000 tonnes of tissue paper per year.
“We are committed to growth – and we have the paperwork to prove it. The new high-bay warehouse and the launch of MP9 are investments that strengthen our competitiveness, supply chain resilience and readiness for further growth – including in foreign markets. Klucze are at the heart of Velvet CARE, and this is where we are building a technological advantage for years to come,” says Paweł Bajorek, CEO of Velvet CARE.
